Here’s what I think of you Casey Anthony!
I see so much coverage on this case, it’s like every time I clear my
head from thoughts of this woman I turn the channel and see her
again. So I’ve decided to vent my feelings on to my blog. How
could someone commit a crime so sick and get away with it? So
many flaws in her statements but still it’s not enough, to get her
behind bars. Part of me wants to find comfort in the fact that the
courts take the “innocent until proven guilty” right so seriously. At
the same this is just one of those cases where double standard was
on her side. What I mean by this is not many people court commit a
crime like this and just walks away from it. If Casey Anthony had
been a male would he get convicted? Something tells me yes. I
highly doubt we’d be as forgiving towards him, again this is just me
venting my feelings. I remember one of the members of the jury
saying something like “just because she dealt with the death of her
daughter differently than we would doesn’t make her guilty” he’s
was defending her!!! Would he have come to the defense of a man
like that? Doubt it. Because Casey Anthony was a woman an
(attractive one at that) people find it so much easier to sympathize
with a mother who has lost her child. It’s not easy for us to picture a
woman hurting a child let alone her own.
So how are you so sure she did it? A few of you might be saying. Hmmm where should I start, the constant lying to authorities? The smell in the trunk of her car? The fact that we still don’t know exactly how little Caylee died? The quote released from Casey’s diary saying “I’ve never been happier” dated just days after her daughter’s death! Let’s start with the lying. Think of one time when you’ve told a very big lie. Why did you do it? Well you did it because you didn’t want anyone to know the truth of course. Why would Casey tell a lie in such an important situation? I believe that in this case her telling the truth would cause consequences for her. Hasn’t anyone ever heard the story of “The little boy who cried wolf”? How many times can we allow her to lie before we stop believing her? Second, she said the Caylee drown and she panicked. Now I know this is going to sound really morbid but think about it. You’ve just pulled your lifeless baby girl out of a pool, what the first thing you do? Oh! I know! Place tape over her mouth and drop her off in the woods!!! Ok I know that it might sound like my sarcasm is being insensitive but I’m trying to get you to see what I see. The average person would have called the police immediately. Any mother who loves they’re child would want them to have a proper burial. It’s how we mourn in almost all parts of the world. So because she reacted differently to this situation should we say she mourns differently or she had different intentions? I mean I thought tape was to keep people quite, why put it on someone who’s already dead? Ok ok enough of the morbidity. All of the things mentioned above she will get to walk away from because there was no proof. Silly me, I thought this was the proof. One can get a felony for going more than 10 miles over the speed limit but leaving children in the woods is ok, I guess. One thing that prosecutor Jeff Ashton, said really did stick with me "No one makes an accident look like murder", couldn’t have said it any better myself.
